Kayaking – Keewaydin Island, Naples FL

I launched my Kayak from beaches of Port Royal and headed south, once again, to the barrier island of Keewaydin.

This Cormorant had managed to stuff some kind of eel or elongated fish down its gullet.

Just kidding, it’s a pod of Porpoise. They didn’t seem to mind me following them around in my kayak.

love the shots! Your bird photos are something else – what patience you have. Most favorite shot- the conch!

Great capture of the “cormorant vs eel” here! That looked like quite a big meal sliding down here (a huge eel I’m guessing) So did the bird manage to keep that whole thing down? It looks like the unlucky prey was swallowed still wriggling/alive as well? I wonder, does it stand any slim chance of escaping if eaten in that condition?!
